with my piece I wanted to celebrate diversity and different cultures.
I started to collage different faces, of different cultures, together to make one whole face
I began to think about joining cultures together and thought of ways to do this. one way I came up with involved creating a quilt and sewing together different fabrics from different cultures
Then I merged the two ideas together creating a mixed media piece involving both fabrics and collage
